Project:

Single storey extension, Leckhampton

“Jeremy is a helpful and courteous architect.  He responded promptly to our tender, offering a very competitive price.  The early site visit was helpful since Jeremy was accommodating to our ideas, listening carefully and offering his own views in a judicious style.  The resulting option drawings provided an excellent draft from which, together, we were able to finesse the single storey scheme which lay across challenging sloping levels.  I particularly admire Jeremy’s calm demeanor, good humour and patience in responding to our various idiosyncratic tweaks.  We now have planning permission and will begin works next spring.”
Neil Davidson, M.D. Lepus Consulting Ltd.

Project:

Two storey extension to 1930s home in Gloucestershire

“We were pleased to find Jeremy nearby and available to work with us on our extension, which included a garage and master bedroom with en-suite. Jeremy promptly met with us, listened to our needs and prepared draft drawings for our review in the time promised. Overall, he was helpful with ideas, professional and courteous. He managed the building application process for us from start to finish. We had no delays, in fact we already have our planning permission and will be using his drawings to commence work this summer.”
Carol & Jim Phillips, Brockworth

Project:

Rear extension, Bafford Approach, Charlton Kings

“We approached Jeremy to ask for his help with drawing up plans for a single-storey extension to our 1960s home in Charlton Kings. We knew why we wanted the extension but only had a rather hazy idea of exactly what we wanted. Jeremy very patiently led us through the various possibilities, pointing out the pros and cons of each option. There were a number of options that we had never even considered and we ended up with a design that exactly suited our needs. Jeremy achieved this in a low-key, no-fuss, manner. He was a pleasure to work with.”
Peter & Marie Thomson, Bafford Approach, Chalrton Kings

Project:

Side and Rear Extensions, Hatherley Road, Cheltenham

“Jeremy was very swift in visiting our house and producing the plans for the planning application. He worked well with the planning officer and took on board the comments they had made in relation to the design and scale of the proposals. With some minor tweaks the plans were accepted and subsequently approved. Jeremy also offered reassurance during the process when a few obstacles presented themselves, calming our nerves. Jeremy was professional and steadfast during the whole process and I would recommend to others for similar projects.”
Joel Shine, Hatherley Road, Cheltenham

Project:

New window, porch and internal renovations to Listed Cotswold cottage

“Jeremy provided an excellent service, he did exactly what we expected of him in terms of drawing and submitting  plans to the local authority for planning permission.  He followed our own suggestions and transformed them accordingly. His professional charges were exactly as quoted. He was good value for money and should we ever need help with this type of work in the future, we would have no hesitation in hiring his services again. We would certainly recommend him to others.”
Mr A. Allcock MBE, Guiting Power

Project:

Two storey side extension, Hucclecote

“We would highly recommend Jeremy for any future building project.
He gave us sound professional advice, with plans achieving the required outcome from the planning department.
In addition he also gave the names of builders that would be suitable for the building we plan to undertake. Rated 5 stars.”
Valerie and Everett Stacey, Billbrook Road, Hucclecote.

Project:

Double garage with playroom over and retaining walls

“extendArchitecture is one of the best websites we viewed during our search using www.localsurveyorsdirect.co.uk. This, together with Jeremy’s experience and qualifications, made us hesitant in contacting him as we with felt our project was rather small-scale and assumed his charges would be too high. We are so glad we enquired!
Jeremy visited us promptly, corresponded with us and the Planning Dept. using email and supplied 3D images in the design stage (which so few seem to do but these images are key in my opinion). More expensive quotations did not include 3D.
Jeremy suggested tasteful finishes, enhancing the design. He is very competitively priced but most importantly, efficient and approachable.
We would highly recommend Jeremy & we would engage him for any future requirements.”
Ms A. Roulston, Lydney

Project:

Utility room extension to 18th Century Grade II Listed house

“Jeremy was so quick in responding to my call. I needed a small utility room built on the side of my 200 year old house which is Grade 2 listed. Within a few days he had visited me at home and really listened to what I wanted. Within 48hours the completed plans were sent through onto my computer and he even sent a 3D picture of what the utility room would look like when finished. Once we had agreed on the design Jeremy took the whole project to the conservation officer at the Council and corresponded with them directly and succeeded in getting the plans approved.  I must also add that I had obtained four quotes for the job and Jeremy’s quote was the cheapest and the most simple. He was also very patient with me explaining what certain things meant and offering good alternative suggestions to things that were not suitable. I would not hesitate to use him again and will recommend him to my friends and neighbours.”
Ms. R. Spenser-Underhill, Shipton Moyne

Project:

Large kitchen/diner extension, basement and loft conversion and garage/workshop

“We were extremely happy with the service received from Jerry at extendArchitecture. He came up with some beautiful designs and managed to turn our vision into achievable plans. He helped us through the planning process and when we encountered any problems, he worked extensively with us to make necessary changes to the plans that both met with the planners approval and yet kept in all the elements that we needed. He managed to see ways around things that we thought meant that we would be unable to build our home as we wanted it. Above all he has been very helpful, friendly and quick to respond to any email or phone call. We really recommend him.”
Mr. & Mrs. D. Williams, Cheltenham

Project:

New two bedroom detached house

“Jeremy drew up and submitted plans  for my two-storey dwelling at the side of my bungalow.  From the beginning, he listened to my  requirements, gave updates at the various stages, arranged meetings, and kept me  informed at all times.  His detailed  design for the house is thoughtful, modern and innovative, and would complement  the residential feel of the neighbourhood. I will certainly recommend his services  to anyone I come across who is looking for an experienced, skilled architect,  who knows how to handle both his clients and the planning authorities, with  efficiency and respect.”
Ms. S. Godwin, Cheltenham

Project:

Feasibility study for glazed link between house and garage

“Jeremy carried out a feasibility study for an extension from my house to the double garage. He produced an extremely attractive design that could be viewed in 3D on a computer with supported printouts. He was very willing to listen and to accommodate our own ideas while making creative suggestions that were extremely helpful. He was prompt, tactful and cheerful. I would use his services again without hesitation.”
Mr. A. Pacey, Cheltenham

Project:

Single storey bedroom extension and external decking

“Jeremy responded very quickly to my initial enquiry and visited my house within a couple of days. He listened to what I wanted to achieve with the proposed extension (the demolition of an ancient conservatory and the addition of a third bedroom with en suite bathroom) and talked me through the planning regulations and process. He also very clearly set out his fees for the project which seemed very reasonable.
Jeremy estimated a timescale of approximately one week to draw up the preliminary plans. These were discussed and tweeked over the following week, whereupon he submitted the planning application to the Forest of Dean District Council.
I am delighted to say that his submission to the planning authority was given full approval a couple of days ago.”
Mr. David Fruin, Wigpool, Mitcheldean

Project:

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an architect who will listen to your needs.”
Ms S. Price, Bradwell Village
